Big dreams
With my freshman year over I found the fact that about 60% of the team was leaving motivating because I knew I finally had a shot at varsity. I made sure I went to all my summer practices and did my best. As the season started I was running well and dropping personal records in almost every race. As the season was coming to an end and championship season approached I started getting a few injuries which dint allow me to run my best, But I dint really care much because the way I saw it I still had 3 more years to improve. "If only I knew"
With cross country over and track season approaching, I was in the shape of my life and super motivated. I got carried away with my mileage near the end of track conditioning and got my IT band injured. This made running painful and I had to lower my mileage and go into recovery every day. The season began I raced the first 3 races somewhat injured and with a few miles every week and still managed to crack into the all-time fastest for sophomores in my school. The day after I was cleared to go back to all our training we got word that all sports were canceled and school will be shut down due to Covid-19.
